can't stop, can't stop

I took my cousin and his girlfriend out today for a really late birthday celebration dinner (my cousin's birthday was the day before Halloween), and it was delish. There's nothing quite as satisfying as having a really awesome dinner... except having a really awesome dessert. Mmm... dessert...

Honestly, readers, with the amount of food I consume, I don't know how I am not a) 6000 pounds and b) completely broke.

Grey cami, Cotton On
Navy tee, GAP
Tipped cardigan, New York & Co.
Pants, Delia*s
Patent Joley flats, J.Crew
DIY bow tie necklace

I don't wear this cardigan too often. I bought it on a whim because it was on some sort of super sale (and I can't pass up a good sale), without really thinking about what I could possibly pair it with. You can't really tell from the photos, but this thing is tipped in neon yellow. Not that I have anything against neon yellow. It's just not the most versatile color out there.

  1. cute cardigan! I just love the yellow trim. I love buying stuff on sale and wearing it forever! It feels so much better than buying something expensive and wearing it once. :)

  2. Oh I love the yellow trim on the cardigan, I agree it would be hard to match it to stuff but it's definitely cute. I think it would be great in the spring with printed dresses.

In the fall/winter you're supposed to pair neons with neutral colors right? I think you did a great job making it work. The necklace works great with this.

  4. In the pics it looks like a nice soft yellow

But if it's neon, I am not sure I'd wear it... as often

  5. OMG. Have you ever tried to total up the amount of money you spend on food? I did this once and I was so depressed that I went to Taco Bell afterwards to drown my sorrows in a Burrito Supreme.

  9. re: food: i'll spend $50 at the market and get nervous that i need to budget better, yet i can drop $50 easy on a night of eating and drinking. ugh! and of course, being that it's friday, i don't feel like cooking and will probably spend $20-30 on indian takeout (for 2)... mmm...

  11. I love the mix of colors and how it makes such a put together, casual look! I hear you on the food thing....sometimes (okay, most times) I look at my plate afterwards when we go out and wonder 1. how I ate all that and 2. the waitress must think I am a total pig

  13. I love the cardi--the colors, the cuff buttons! I'd probably end up wearing it with more grey (like maybe charcoal) or navy, and I've got a lot of both in my wardrobe! I also like the feminine touch of the bowtie necklace a lot.
