I find that my most colorful outfits always come about whenever I am J.Crew-ed out. Every time I get a catalog in my hot little hands, I spy something that just sings to me simply because it is offered in some divine color that I've never seen at any other retailer -- a teal pencil skirt, a chartreuse cardigan, boots in the perfect shade of charcoal gray. If there's one thing J.Crew does right, it's the color selection.
Woo-hoo, there's a color combo I LOVE! :) Since it nasty and cold and raining here, you have given me the visual boost I needed. Thank you, darling!
ReplyDeleteHoly color combo, batman! I LOVE it! The pattern mixing is pretty fabulous, too!
ReplyDelete(Humming the Ghostbusters intro) tana nana nana...Yes, I have to agree- J.Crew separates have the most divine colorways! And it appears awesome people the world over have similar eccentricities. Because, you see, I took walked to my mailbox last night....you know...since I had the dress on anyway...
ReplyDeleteI agree, no one does color like Jcrew. It's why I'm hooked. I miss the days of old when their style was unique as well. I'm looking forward to those days returning. I am in love with your outfit. I find very few who mix and max color and patterns as beautifully as you do. Thanks for some more inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSuch a mix of colors/patterns and it looks AWESOME! I love JCrew's styling. Finally found a factory store near me and am tempted to go...always. Have been restraining myself pretty well so far (but we both know that won't last ;D).
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combo. Will have to remember when Spring returns to my neck of the woods :) thanks for the eye candy today!
ReplyDeleteI really love the colors in this outfit, they're so unexpected. I'm a little mad at J.Crew right now for messing up the Jackie, but you're so right about their gorgeous colors. If I need something bright and fun, that's the first place I look.

Super cute color combo. And I'm with you on the confused season thing--I always wear brights or pastels in the fall/winter. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your sweater! Jcrew has some great cardis.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than to bring some extra color to fall/winter. I agree, J Crew knows how to get you with the colors. I just bought a bright orange sweater. I think I was having a want everyone to see me coming from a mile away top.
ReplyDeleteYou are really loving that studded belt!! I was so close to getting it when I spied it a few weeks ago.
Super cute outfit - I love that you paired dots on the top with dots on your skirt! I'm hopelessly addicted to JCrew and they're crazy, but super cool, styling of colors and patterns. I hoard the catalogs for inspiration. I'd love to have one of their stylists living in my house. *Sigh* Great outfit! ~ Susan

Hey Amy, AMY, I am going to come over now and steal this head-to-toe from you. The colors are ridiculously charming together, and this is adorable. But then, is there a color that doesn't look good on you?
ReplyDeletegreat combination. The sweater is gorgeous and I bet looks great with just about anything.
ReplyDeleteThat cardigan is gorgeous! I've been looking for a bright mustard yellow cardi. Good pop of color to cheer up winter doldrums ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this color combo- the only chartreuse I own is a loft dress, but I am definitely going to think of aqua next time I wear it-thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAre you tired of me calling you cute all the time, because I think it everytime I see your OOTDs. This combo is just great and bold, love it. What's more, I found this cardi (in a different color) at my jcrew today and it was a steal!! Love it on you, especially with the picture frame blouse peeking through.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about JC and color choices. But it's your creativeness to put them all together and make them work into an outfit. Could I ask you what the style number for that cardigan is? I'm kicking myself for not getting it. I saw it on a SA at JC few weeks ago and looked great layered with the Island paisley button down shirt.
ReplyDeleteOooooh....I love your color combination here Amy! That cardi color is divine!
ReplyDeleteLove the sweater color. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit! It's so ladylike and fun!
