I can't seem to stay away from this cardigan - the print just melts my heart! Then, when I put on the papaya-hued skirt, the only thing I could think of was how I looked like some kind of spokesperson for a new flavor of gum. Zebramelon, perhaps?
Speaking of zebras and gum, does anyone remember Zebra Stripe gum? The flavor lasted approximately 0.25 seconds, but I was crazy for it as a kid! I think the included temporary tattoos was what sealed the deal. Oh, children. So easy to impress.

I've gotten a few requests for a "How To" for my hair. I have to admit that I'm a bit shocked! I never thought of my hair as anything special. BUT, I am more than happy to oblige, in case there are any readers out there wondering how to tame their unruly tresses! It's a relatively easy process, but seeing as how I don't have a tripod and I need both hands to do my hair and I unfortunately have not evolved to have 3 arms, I'll have to wait until the weekend when Boyfriend's around so that he can snap photos of the process.
These colors just scream spring!
ReplyDeleteYou look great - and yes, I loved zebra gum too...and now I wish I had some!
I love your outfit! I am so into that melon color this spring! Thanks for the memory - I so loved the Zebra Striped Gum and it did only last .25 seconds in flavor! haha
ReplyDeleteAieee! This outfit is perfection- melon and brown- unheard of! I just bought a printed pencil skirt at J.Crew...do I have it in me to squeeze another one into my budget somehow? I reeeally want the melon one! You look super pretty ^^
ReplyDeleteA zebramelon? That totally made me laugh! I would never have thought to put these colors together. It looks so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOMG! yes! Fruit stripe gum was ridiculously gross...if you chewed it twice through you'd be ready for a new stick! And the commercials...do you remember those? They were psychedelic with crazy colors and a multicolored zebra and this weird rap song..."fruit stripe gum- it's the yummy fruity one...pick a pack of fun!" (don't ask me how I remember that!)
ReplyDeleteOkay, anyway...cute outfit :)
Okay, I had to look this up and share: Fruit stripe gum commercial
ReplyDeleteThe hair..the hair...the hair..the hair...the hair.. have I gone too far?
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful skirt looks amazing with the printed cardi, and as always, you know how to belt just about every outfit imaginable!! Love the free flow peeking out just a little bit, so flirtatious!!
ReplyDeleteYES! I totally remember the Zebra gum, and it was yucky b/c the flavor did run out so fast, a waste of my hard-earned babysitting moneyz!
Ooh, I was always more of a Hubba Bubba gal myself - for some reason my friends and I thought it was fun to try to shove as many pieces in as possible at one time. Talk about choking hazard! (Holy crap, am I getting old or what?!)
ReplyDeleteYou already know that I want your cardigan - I would have never thought to put that combo together but it totally works. You always know how to look office chic but still totally you.
Love the layers in this look and the bright orange belt! You look fantastic. And ohhh zebra stripe gum. I know I decided red was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGreat belt, it's so bright.

Love this color combination with the skirt, cardi and belt. Would have never thought of that, looks great!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous look! I love the cardi, the color of the skirt, the tank underneath, the skinny belt...everything!!
ReplyDeleteThe pants I wore yesterday were actually J. Crew cafe capris in Golden Hickory. I got them on supersale at the end of last year.
Love the color combo of the skirt with the cadigan. Everytime I see you pull out the coral, it makes me want to rush out and buy it too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit! I wish I had it.
ReplyDeleteI used to love Fruit Stripe. It was weirdly sour, wasn't it? This skirt is fantastic, and it looks great with the cardigan and belt.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I hated Fruit Stripe- but I was always a bit of an odd cookie when it came to gum when I was younger. It wasn't until the past few years that I started chewing it!
ReplyDeleteI loooooove that cardigan with that skirt. But oh, I love that cardigan! So cute, yet still badass at the same time.
seriously zebra gum? have not had that in ummm 20 years maybe. I was just talking about it today in my boxing class trying to describe it to the younger girls who had never heard of it and then the very first time I visit your blog- zebra gum. weird
ReplyDeleteim in love with your belt so much! :)
