If someone were to ask me where I get my styling inspiration from, I'd blurt out without hesitation, "
You guys!" There are so many wonderful bloggers out there, and I follow a great deal of them, and all of their daily outfits give me ideas on how I can wear my
own clothes. This inspiration can be as total as mimicking an entire look, or as subtle as trying out a certain pattern with another.
The inspiration for this outfit is from none other than Kim of
Anthroholic fame. She has created so many beautiful outfits around the color combination of rich rust-orange with crisp mint green, and it was this color combo that inspired me. It is so unexpected, but it works so beautifully together! Thanks, Kim!

After today's work day ends, I am officially on vacation until January! WOOO HOOOOO! I can't believe Christmas is this weekend, either. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? When did this happen? Thank goodness I already have all the presents gift-wrapped and ready to go!
Omg, this outfit is too adorable! Love how you've layered the different colors and love the pieces individually too! Especially the color of that belt. I was just wearing a cardi over the weekend in a similar color (i think that's my new faaave color!). The traversa looks perfect on you! mine didn't work out - one was too small and the next size was too large so I gave up.
ReplyDeleteLol, I still can't believe Christmas is almost here and the year is about to end!!! It flew by faster that fast - seriously!
You look beautiful, and yes, the rust-mint is very reminiscent of Kim's style. The best part? I have all the ingredients for this look :D
ReplyDeleteps: I knoooow, this year just flew by me like whoa!
Very, very lovely! I love our community of stylish ladies, looking out for each other. I can't believe Christmas is this weekend, either, and am especially jealous that you have so much time off! Enjoy your break.
ReplyDeleteAmy, that's such a pretty dress and I love the cardi color with it. Gaining inspiration from fellow bloggers is the best!
ReplyDeleteyou look adorable in this cardigan, I bought the yellow version, because i was not sure if i can handle this color
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! I have 3 Traversa cardi's but that color is definitely my fave - it looks great with the navy!
ReplyDeleteLove the mint and rust combo! Really beautiful and unexpected.
ReplyDeletealltumbledown: a modest attempt at style

This color combo is great! I agree, I see so many new combinations and think how I need to try that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off of work. The fact that Christmas Eve is Friday is really throwing me for a loop. How did it get here so fast!!??
Great color combination! That belt is super. I'm impressed that you are wearing tights in our eighty-degree weather!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a great colour combination. I don't own anything in this rust colour, but I like it. I wouldn't necessarily think of it, but you always inspire my outfit choices, and this time is no different. I'll have to give this rust colour a whirl one day.

Ugh, seriously ticked at Crew for cancelling my order for the traversa cardi a few weeks ago. You look great, and I love this unique combo! Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love this look! Great color combo! Have a wonderful vacation!!
ReplyDeleteCute! That's one of my favorite color combinations! How excting having all that time off...mine will come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteyou always have the cutest cardigans!!
ReplyDeleteI was just in Anthro! I picked up another Volante tee, but in wine (I have it in charcoal too). I love this outfit so much on you. The colors are unexpected, but really pretty.
ReplyDeleteAwww Amy! You look so adorable, and I'm beyond flattered I inspired you with one of my favorite color combos! Reading this really brightened the crappy day/week I've been having :) So thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so adorable. Love the black tights with those flats, super cute :)
ReplyDeleteI love these colors together! You look adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love the color combo in your outfit and great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi Again Amy, I have the dress and the same Cardigan in the same color.Looks great on you! Great idea. I wear mine with the Tick Tock cardigan and my looping lanes belt. Sometimes I wear it with my blooming lattice piece. It's a very versatile dress isn't it? But I have to admit. I'm bad about mixing J. Crew with Anthropologie all the time. To me they seem to mesh pretty well.
ReplyDeleteYay for a long break! Hope you get a lot of feasting, gift-giving, merriment and relaxing in there :) And you look great today! Rust and mint is indeed a very Kim (and a very Rosa!) color combo, it's neat recognize the inspiration :) I too am constantly influenced by the ladies in this community and all the various blogs I read!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is gorgeous! I am really loving that belt - the colour just pops out at you!
ReplyDeleteKim is a superstar when it comes to outfit combos!
I love this outfit! Great color combination, especially the mint green with the navy. That is one of my all time favorite color combos. I always love how you make a summer dress look so winter appropriate! Excellent job ~ Susan
