"Hey! What if... hey!"
Anyhoodle, I love this dress, but it has a problem with static cling. It tends to stick to my legs, making my crotch-area look really awkward. TMI? Maybe. Truth? Definitely.
I haven't replaced my can of Static Guard yet since I left my previous one at the parents' house when I moved out, but I found that a trusty ol' dryer sheet can de-static a troublesome dress just as admirably. Rub a fresh sheet of Bounce on the underside of the dress, then on your legs/tights, and presto! Cling crisis averted.

I'm in the process of revamping the layout here at ke.KE -- which basically means I've thought a lot about it but haven't done squat. Hopefully, I'll have something new up in the next few weeks.
I love this color combo- the mustard with the turquoise is so lovely. You are too cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd I wanted to let you know about my blog giveaway- a $50 Anthropologie Giftcard! It ends tomorrow- I would love it if you have a sec to check it out.
Have a lovely day!

does that technique work with any type of fabric softner sheet?
ReplyDeleteCute! I love the shoes! I will have to try the dryer sheet trick. Thanks for the tip:)
ReplyDeletebeautiful color combination. i just adore this dress ~ it's so cute. great idea about the bounce sheets! i always use lotion to tame static cling. ;) - susan
ReplyDeleteFantastic colors *___* I'm so in awe of you and Rosa (Love At First Shop) for being able to find such amazing pieces at F21. I've been going out of my mind trying to locate the orange button-tab cardi she wore on her blog a few days ago, and now your dress -_____-
ReplyDeletePS: The post title also made me think "hara-kiri" Guess that speaks to my mental state right now, from looking for these mysterious F21 items -______-
As what everyone said, great color combination. =)
ReplyDeleteBut what I love most about this outfit are those freaking adorable SHOES!!

I wish I could be as good as you in mixing and matching colors!
ReplyDeleteI really love the colors today! Your nails are also so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAdorable as always Amy! :) Another option to try for the clinging dress is to wear a slip so that you have a *barrier* between it and your tights. A slip always makes a dress hang better and appear smooth over the body.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new fan.. But I had to stop and tell you how amazing your hair looks! Oh! and the outfit too! lol..
ReplyDeleteThanks for that amazing tip! The outfit looks great -- I love the colors on you. :)

your outfit is so cute today - colors and dress/long cardi combo. I had to buy static guard in Target the other day b/c my Tucker dress was almost up to my behind! Whew- glad I was in Target and the static guard was readily available!!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I love the dress and the cardi it pretty too. I may need to add the infinity cardi to my already growing collection. You're too cute today.
ReplyDeleteStill love that dress...the color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is too adorable and I love the color mixing.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't the only one who is thinking of a blog redesign but haven't done squat. I've been slacking on researching a good source. Maybe if I find a magic wand, all of the things on my to do list will get done. :)
Haha, I hate dresses that cling around that...area...as well! Glad to hear I'm not the only one with that problem. :'D
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see you in that dress I think "Rachel (from Glee, of course) copied Kelinda!" Love the shoes so much that I may order them. They are sitting in my basket as we speak...
ReplyDeleteI love how playful your outfits always are, they always make me smile!! The dress is always adorable no matter what you pair it with - cuteness!!
ReplyDeletegreat. colours. wow. I can't wait to mix some turquoise and olive/mustard together. so satisfying!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that blue dress. I love the rhyming post title. I usually rhyme random words together and tell my fiance to "hurry murry!" or "what's up, pup?" Ah, rhyming is fun.
ReplyDeleteComplex Cardigans
There's a restaurant in L.A. called Hurry Curry and that was the first thing I thought of when I saw your title. Then I saw I your dress and realized that I have the same one in pink! Love how you've styled it, I may wear it tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteI love this colour combo. And thanks for the advice about static cling - although i don't know what Bounce sheets are..i guess they are only available in the US?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that bounce would do that! I will have to dry it.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is too cute!
gorgeous :) I LOOOOOVVVEEE Harry Caray skits!!! I think that's the impression Will Farrel used to audition for SNL.
