I've recently become re-enamored with Zara. I honestly had forgotten that store even existed because it's hidden in a part of the Galleria (my shopping mall love) that I never visit. But after stumbling on Chloe's (of chloetonic) blog about a year ago and seeing all the wonderful ensembles she puts together with Zara's wares, I decided to reacquaint myself with the store. And thus the flame was rekindled.
I went last weekend in search of a long, pleated skirt that has been taunting me on the website for weeks, but it wasn't in the store. GRR. This skirt allayed my initial disappointment, though. I love the bold stripes and the thick fabric -- it even escaped wrinkle-free after 8 hours of me sitting on my bum at work! If that's not impressive, I don't know what is.
I have to go find a Zara now. That skirt looks awesome. I have a fairly similar skirt from H&M two years ago, but I can only imagine what else Zara is selling.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is absolute perfection. The crisp pleats, the silhouette and the COLORS! I'm off to check out Zara's website now...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that skirt! I saw it in-store a few weeks ago (a lone one, in my size, hanging by itself) and didn't grab it - argh, why, no?!
ReplyDeleteYou look so fantastic today!
(Funny you mentioning the location of Zara - the one I go to is also in a non-descript corner of my mall - maybe the rent is cheaper, or they are too cool for the main aisle?)
That skirt is adorable! There are no Zara's in St Louis (I think in all of Missouri, actually!), so I'll have to admire from afar...booooo
ReplyDeleteOh my cuteness - I LOVE that skirt! You are so adorable! I hope you got all your work finished so you could enjoy the extra time out of the office :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous, but then the frustration with their website is not finding what you want actually in a store. That's what I hate about B&M stores...
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! That skirt is so pretty. I'm going to have to check out Zara's now.

ReplyDeleteThat skirt is too stinkin cute! I was going to go to Zara today to check out there dresses for a potential birthday dress, but now I'm going for sure. I hope they have this!
ReplyDeletei love this outfit ~ that skirt is fabulous! i can't believe you have a zara and you never go! they have such super cute things and you can't order online. boo. keeping my fingers crossed we get one soon. great outfit!! ~ susan
ReplyDeleteAt my mall we don't have a zara! I need to go to the next town over so I rarely go. And this skirt makes me willing to take that trip. It didn't wrinkle? Are you for real? That's pretty amazing. I feel like I might need it, if it's still there after my self-imposed shopping ban.
ReplyDeleteIn love with this skirt...totally adorable!
ReplyDeleteOMG. I just also started looking into ZARA. And all their stuff is so amazing! =)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! So cute! Especially that beautiful skirt (and I noticed it was from ZARA. awesome) And I love your bold red wall. =)

Zara is a trek for me, so I forget about it as well. Too bad because once I arrive there are 2 stores within walking distance of each other. Skirt's another winner! Love it w/that shade of blue cardi.
ReplyDeleteok, not fair. No Zara in WI!!! I love this skirt!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Zara, and everytime i go overseas, I have to visit at least one Zara store. The quality is actually decent for what you pay, and the clothes are nicely cut and tailored (well, most of them). Zara will open its first store down under in April this year (a month away!!). I can't wait. I love your skirt - it's divine.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skirt! I need to check out Zara when I return!
ReplyDeletelove the outfit. i totally went to zara last weekend to look for the pleated maxi skirt too and they said they didn't have it either! so annoying i'm totally in love with it
ReplyDeleteAmy, you are *adorable*. And I absolutely adore that skirt!! It is so perfect. I need to hightail it to the city so I can visit a Zara soon :)
ReplyDeletenice skirt. there is a zara downtown where i live, but i rarely go in there. not sure why!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is just singing to me. sigh . . . wish there was a Zara in my podunk town.
ReplyDeletehope you get more sleep tonight. If I don't have at least 7 hrs, I walk around like a zombie. With only 6 hours, you still look amazing.
OMG, I totally need to convince someone to go shopping with me! I love that skirt. The length, shape and colors are killing me!

The skirt looks so cute on you! Does it fit TTS? The closest Zara is 4 hours away, but I have friends who live nearby who I can beg to get one for me :)
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie! I'm a size 8 on the bottom and I got this in a size Large, which is typical for me -- it fit without any issues! From my experience, though, most of Zara's stuff runs a little small, so I'd err on the side of going with a larger size if you're between sizes. :)
ReplyDeleteoh wow, thanks for the mention!
ReplyDeletei am currently lusting over two pairs of zara trousers: a pink cropped pair and an extra-long pair of b&w wide legged polka-dot silky pair. i will let you know if they get bought!
lots of love xxx
this skirt is just sooo you and so adorable! Color are beautiful on you.. SUPER CUTE
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt! It looks great on you.
