The sty on my left eyelid has shrunk down to near invisibility, but it's still a little tender, so I think I'll be going contact lens-less until I know everything's completely okay with my peepers. I mean, someone told me that wearing your contact lenses while you have a sty could lead to an eye infection, which in turn could lead to "scarring of the retina." I know that's like saying that an infected paper cut on your thumb could lead to the amputation of your forearm, but still -- "scarring of the retina"? No thanks.

Who doesn't like a good side braid? My hair is layered, though, so I needed to tame it with no less than 38947 pins and clips, but still -- effortless! Kind of.
Also, this picture made me realize I need some color on my lips on a day-to-day basis. Any suggestions for a natural lip color? I don't do glossies, for what it's worth.
It looks like you've lost weight in these pictures, good for you! Also, the glasses are cute on you.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love a side braid, and your glasses are majorly adorable on you. This outfit is so chic and effortless looking.... you're fabulous :)

oh my dear lord, this whole outfit is so cute! Although I realized the fact that I can never pull off the maxi skirt, it always looks great on you. Jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the person meant potential scarring of the cornea (front layer of the eye) not the retina (interior back part of the eye).
That purple blazer is so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I can't even do a side ponytail yet, thanks to my perpetual indecision on whether my hair should be longer or shorter, but I wants one!
ReplyDeleteI like this look! It is scholarly but still young and chic.
Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteLove purple and yellow together....adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, especially the purple jacket. I fight my layers for a side braid or side pony all the time. I can't wait until they grow out.
ReplyDeleteUm, I think this might be one of my favorite outfits ever. A comfy maxi paired with a bright yellow top and a purple blazer? PERFECTION!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the sty is going away. I wouldn't risk it either, I'm glad you're taking it easy!

I love the purple, yellow and gray combo. They all complement each other so nicely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute look, especially with your geeky chic glasses and side pony.
I love your hair in a braid. And you look really cute in glasses :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, and the new anthro catalogue features models in glasses- work it girl, while we can!!
ReplyDeletehaha. I, for one, love a good side braid. Plus you can't beat complimentary colors. I hope all is well with your eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely STUNNING, AmyK. So, so, so beautiful @___@
ReplyDeleteI need my hair to me longer to do the side braid... so cute!! My most favorite lipstick ever is Chanel's Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle. It is a more saturated version of my natural lip color, so it helps them stand out a little, but the focus is still on my eyes (or whatever you chose to accentuate). Try it!!
