Moving on, has anyone else been squee-ing over J.Crew's new arrivals? Because all those bright colors make me seriously happy. As much as I enjoyed last year's neutral beige-o-rama trend, there is nothing I enjoy more than mixing bright colors together so that I resemble a rainbow popsicle as much as possible. Thank you, J.Crew, for finally giving us some happy colors again! Here are some of the new arrivals I'm obsessing over --
I'll take one of each in every color, please! (if only)
What do you guys have your eye on?
I already ordered the No.2 pencil in Vibrant Flame. Not risking the sell-out I experienced LAST fall. However, it is waitlisted already, with an expected ship date of 8.15.11.
ReplyDeleteI adore that Velvet Schoolboy. I could see that being an everyday jacket- for you AND for me. :)
I haven't seen you in that cardigan in awhile!! I love the purple red mix. I'm all into unexpected color pairings.
ReplyDeleteI was squee-ing too. I wish I had several thousands to spend on the new arrivals because I want so many multiples of things. There are just too many great colors available. I ordered the Hacking blazer in a midnight ocean, but that was a tough decision. I also love that orange velvet blazer, all of the No. 2 pencil skirts, all of the colorful wool capri pants and now I think I need some orange pants (I just wish that vibrant flame Minnie was in a different pant because that didn't work for me). Sigh, I have to resist the J. Crew Skittles. :)
Love, love, LOVE purple and red! You look awesome. I'm dying for some bright skirts now!
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm pretty much head over heels for everything the Crew has released so far for Fall. In.Love. I will say though, it is mighty hard parting with the funds for items I have no chance of wearing anytime soon (thank you Texas heat and 105 degree days).
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a wee one my mother taught me many a fashion rule, one of which was no red and puple together. But you know what? Rules were made to be broken and you look adorable (as per usual). No ocular assault here.
I love the red paired with the purple. Such a great look! And those J Crew new arrivals have me drooling! I love the No. 2 pencil skirts and can't decide which color I like best. And that Ruthie shirt dress is darling.
ReplyDeleteI totally wish the fashion fairy would magically drop off a thousand dollar gift card to J Crew lol....so many awesome new arrivals...so much color!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that encore trench looks like it should belong in my closet - NOW! I love the cut of it, much more feminine than my current trench coats. I've got to check it out on the site. I wonder how much it is and whether they deliver to oz!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cardigan! I love the details on it!
ReplyDeleteHmm...I was on the lookout for a long rain coat, but I found it the other day for $0.50!!! WOW! What a thrifty steal! :)
I thought I'd let you and your readers know that I'm having a Feminine Friday Link up party! It will be every other Friday, starting this Friday! I'd love if you participated! You can get all the details on my blog:

Oh my goodness, I too have been drooling over J Crew's new rainbow of goodness. Can fall get here like, now? The pencil skirts are ahhhmazing and the blazers are sharp!
ReplyDeletegirrrl, you know i am eyeballing those velvet blazers! we can totally be twins in the orange or blue one.
ReplyDeleteI love their bright pencil skirts...I agree, one in every color please!
ReplyDeletemodernmom -- I don't blame you for already ordering the No. 2 pencil skirt. Those are SO. STINKIN. CUTE. I love the bright flame color, too! I can't believe it's already waitlisted, though, that's nuts! And let's totally be jacket twins and get that velvet blazer! ;)
ReplyDeletefshnonmymind -- I know, the cardigan's been on a hiatus for a while, haha! And eeeeeeeeep, we need to both win the J.Crew lottery so we can splurge on these "J.Crew Skittles" (I love that term, by the way). I feel you on wishing the vibrant flame came in a pants style other than the Minnie, too. I tried it on in the store and yeeeech, it's a no-go for me!
Melissa -- Awww, thanks! And bright skirt, hooray!
Michelle -- I know, right?! The Texas heat does make buying wool items a downright insane idea. But those colors! They are tempting me! And you're right -- fashion rules ARE meant to be broken!
Jenn -- Agh, if only we could get ALL of the pencil skirts, right??
Tara -- Haha, agreed! Come onnn, fashion fairy...
vintageglammz -- I can definitely see you in the Encore Trench! Isn't it super darling? If only it weren't $300+... sigh...
Natasha -- Less than a dollar is definitely a great steal, haha! Thanks for the heads up!
Dea -- Rainbow of goodness indeed! And yes, fall, please come now! I'm so sick of being sweaty all the time, ugh! Haha!
tasty moog -- YES! I am totally cool with being blazer twins with you! ^^
eek -- Haha, one in every color! But you know, for the price of one. ;)
I am so late for the bandwagon but I don't own a single J Crew pencil skirt but may bite on their new wool no.2s because the colors are so delish. The flame and the yellow are really speaking to me.
ReplyDeleteI am also lusting after the leopard perfect shirt and the hacking jacket in that gorgeous blue color.
Nothing like wanting some wool when it's 100 degrees outside!
I think we should totally be jacket twins! Are we going to order the same color? :)
