zombie eyes

I must have blinked or something while this picture was being taken because WHOAZ my eyes look crazy! I promise I don't have zombie/flesh-colored eyes in real life.

top:
H&M plaid shirt
bottom:
J.Crew double serge pencil skirt
Target tights
etc:
Go Jane flower flats
Urban Outfitters belt
Anthropologie headband

wee little knit flowers

I got this headband a few weeks ago and it is just about seven shades of adorable. I love flower-themed accessories, and this is no exception.

Question: How do you keep your skirt from becoming a wrinkled, rumpled mess by the end of the day? Two hours into work and my skirt was looking all disheveled, like I had dug it out from the bottom of the laundry hamper or something. Not cool. Is there some kind of secret weapon against wrinkles? An anti-wrinkle dance? A chicken I must sacrifice? WHAT?

  1. That headband is adorable, me love! I'd like to know a good method of keeping things wrinkle free throughout the day too! Please share if you find a good method.

  2. Skinny belt + pencil skirt = GORGEOUS! Though I've not actually tried it myself, I've heard nothing but fab things about Downey Wrinkle Releaser. Hold off on that chicken...for now, anyways. :)

  5. You have a definite talent for putting outfits together in unexpected and fantastic ways. You look great. Yes skirts always wrinkle and shift on me throughout the day too ... I'm much more comfortable in dresses :)

  6. I have the same issue with skirts. It looks like I took it off under my desk, rumpled it up and put it on just in time to see my boss!

    Love the headband.

  7. Summerilla - Thanks! When I find a fool-proof method, I'll definitely divulge.

Rosemary - I'm going to have to check out Downey Wrinkle Release. Is it a detergent that prevents wrinkles? Or something you put on afterwards to keep clothes from wrinkling after you iron it?

Pamela - I love the blue too! I didn't think I'd wear it as much as I have, but it's a great skirt to punch up any outfit.

Tastymoog - Yes, we both are big believers in skirts and tights, haha!

Stylestance - Aww, thanks! I used to have a problem with skirts shifting as I walked, but now that I have a desk job, it's the wrinkling that makes me crazy!

Sarah - That's definitely my problem. I have one linen skirt that I love but never wear because THAT one gets wrinkled like a beast!

  8. Downey Wrinkle Release is a spray you can use on dry clothing! I've got a Target trip planned for this weekend. I'm definitely picking up a bottle--ironing is my enemy. I'll let you know how it goes!
