not bow wow wow, but bow whoa whoa

Sorry for the funky lighting in these pictures - I normally let the sun in through the window, but a big ol' cloud decided to muscle its way in between the sun and my window, so I had to resort to using my lamp. Which consequently isn't even that bright.

plum knotted jersey dress, delia*s
ruffled celosia cardigan, J.Crew
black tights, Hue
'polly' bow heels, Tahari [x]
seersucker striped bow tie, American Apparel [x] + chain = belt
goldenrod coat circa 2008, Forever Audrey

holy wrinkles, Batman!

Does anyone else here hate ironing as much as I do? I. HATE. IT. Which is why my clothes are always wrinkly. Really. I'm convinced that if I didn't mind ironing, my clothes would never be wrinkled. It's like they wrinkle on purpose just to spite me. GRRRRR.

On another note, Christmas is only two weeks and one day away! AHHHHH.

Eeeep.

  3. Cute. I dislike ironing too, and one of my cats is terrified of the ironing board (the squeaky noises it makes, I guess), so I feel bad taking it out. Good excuse to not iron, hehe.

  4. Adorable! Hmm... I actually love ironing. I love hand washing my clothes, drying them, ironing them, and hanging them back up in my closet. I also love steaming. If I can get away with steaming, I'd prefer that to ironing.

  5. You are so good at making accessories! :) That's a great Delia's find too. I hate ironing so most of my clothes are of the non-iron-requiring type. I'm thinking of getting a steamer as that seems mildly more pleasant, but that seems like a chore too!

  6. Stylestance - Thanks!

MODG - Yup! It's a bit on the thin side, though, so I was pretty much freezing.

    Nicole - Thanks!

tastymoog - Aww, poor kitty! I only have goldfish, and I don't think they care whether I iron or not, haha!

Tien - Wow, do you want to come over and do all of that for me? Haha! I don't mind washing or folding my clothes. It's the ironing that I loathe!

    e. - Delias is pretty hit and miss. Sometimes, though, they come out with something super adorable. You'd think that I would buy clothes that don't need ironing too, but nope! All logic is lost on me.

  8. BOO IRONING! I hate it, I never do it. I would rather wash an item again and pull it out of the dryer right as it's done than ever iron anything ever!

And you are so cute and colorful as ever!

  9. I'm loving the shoes! And the bow tie on the belt. I'll have to try that one. I iron. It's an excuse to watch bad television.

  16. hahaha, you're so funny. ironing?? hate it even more than you do, which is strange since most of the things I buy from jcrew wrinkle easily or need to be steamed. even with the poor lighting and clouds, i can see your lovely outfit. love that bow!!!!

  21. It's funny..ironing..looks like you either love it or hate it. I myself, prefer steaming and find it totally mesmerizing and meditative..until I burn myself. If you go for a steamer it's worth "investing" as the cheapo (read: hand held, drippy cheap things) are not worth it. I use a Jiffy (commercial type) and it's about 20 years old now..still works like a charm.
Your red dress looks GORGEOUS! Woot, woo.

Sorry to hear the Crinkle Cascade dress didn't work out. I caved and ordered the sandstone with the 30 off and it is divine. Don't ask where I am wearing it..does that really matter;)
