I can go with the (free) flow

There's some cold sunshine pouring over us today, which I guess is better than no sunshine at all. I didn't even notice how drab and dreary last week was until the sun came out over the weekend and my first reaction was to look up and blink confusedly.

What's all this, then? Sunlight during the day time?

I'm still in love with this tank from Anthropologie. It's soft and cool and the ruffles are juuuust right. The decision to pair it with my beloved olive jacket was a last minute one, but I like how it turned out. I don't have a leather jacket or anything to really do the whole "tough and frilly" juxtaposition, but I don't think I need one when I have my trusty jacket.

Whenever I think of leather jackets, I think of my high school boyfriend. He had a huge one that he had obliterated with metal pyramid studs. It smelled like the inside of a car that had been rubbed down with rancid cologne. I think we can all piece together the fact that my memories of leather jackets are not quite of the positive variety.

Luckily (and mercifully), now-Boyfriend doesn't wear leather jackets.
