meet the skirt from a Land Down Under

I'm still feeling those full skirts, folks. So here's another one rescued from Black Hole Closet Oblivion (seriously, I feel like my closet should be registered as an alternate universe where the left pair of every sock goes missing and purple tights disappear and reappear):

white cami, cotton on
shrunken blazer, gap
circle skirt, birds of a feather
black tights + navy lace tights, urban outfitters
wide belt, calvin klein
'allie' flats, bcbg

I got this skirt two years ago when I was studying abroad in Australia. I forgot the name of the boutique now, but I do remember that it was in the trendy little neighborhood of Newtown.

Maybe.

Come to think of it, I have no idea whether or not the particular boutique where I got my skirt was in Newtown or whether I just spent an unfathomable amount of time there. Anyway - I saw this skirt, fell in love with its swingy shape, snap buttons down the front, and crazy colorful print and this is my first time wearing it outside of the fitting room. Two years later. Is that crazy? (Yeah, that's crazy.)

  8. I love your outfit today - that whole look. Love. And it's a difficult thing to find a full skirt that doesn't overwhelm a petite frame - that's great.

  14. LOL, two years later? Though who am I call to call you crazy -- I totally do the same thing too. I fall in love with pieces, and then forget I have them or just don't think it's right to wear them yet until months and months and months later. Anyhow, it's a VERY cute skirt :)
