lady in red. and tights!

It's October, but it seems like Houston didn't get the memo because it's still 80 degrees and higher out there. Frustration! But I stubbornly decided to wear my tights anyways. Besides, lace tights are technically full of holes, so they should be more comfortable and cooling than pants anyways. Right? Riiiiight?

I treated myself to the Lucerna dress from Anthropologie. I couldn't help it! The dress is so impossibly soft and beautiful, and it'll look fabulous paired with boots in the fall. I'd say it runs TTS for those who are also interested. It's too bad that I didn't get a good shot of the wonderful front pleating and gathering details, but you get the idea.

lucerna dress, anthropologie [x]
canvas jacket, diane von furstenberg
pointelle tights, j.crew
allie flats, bcbg
stone duchess ring, j.crew
gold bangle, j.crew

I need to get a tripod. I love Boyfriend and his help in taking pictures for me, but I seriously look so short in all of these. BLARGHY!

  2. OMG, that dress is gorgeous. The pleating that I can see in the picture looks fab and I'm off to check it out at Anthro. And yes, I can totally see it with maybe some tan boots or even a simple belt around the waist. Such wonderful detailing.

  7. I love the dress! I don't own that much red, but it would be such a great color for the fall! I know what you mean about the weather...here in the DFW area it's pretty much like that too! But today we had some wind, so it hasn't been as hot!
And do try the burgers! They are amazing! =)

  10. You look fantastic - great buy! Of course this is the bad part of reading blogs bc I never looked twice at the Lucerna dress before - and now I think I need to go track it down bc you look so awesome in it!

(At least you've got a willing photographer - just tell the BF to squat a bit when taking the pics, it'll be like exercise!)

  13. We're having an Indian summer so I can relate to the trouble you're having with what to wear without looking like "summer" (smile). You did a great job!

  16. I share your thought process. TIghts full of "holes" are definitely cooler than pants.

Love the colour palate here, and I think I have a new Anthro lemming!
