I decided to wear one of my favorite pencil skirts today (yes, this is an actual OOTD!), and finally got the nude pumps out again. I'm terrible at wearing heels. I wobble around like my knees are made out of Jell-O, and I am a repeat offender when it comes to making that heel-scraping-on-the-floor sound. I don't walk with a satisfying click-click-click -- I walk with a clomp-stomp-scraaaaaaape. This needs to be fixed.
I've vowed to wear heels at least once a week from here on out. I'm hoping that will give me the practice I need to perfect the click-click-click.

Amy, Amy, Bo, BAmy! I'm in a wacky mood because it's Friday :) I am horrible at wearing heels also, so once spring hits, I will do as you are doing, and try to wear them once a week. It's a good skill to have, being able to walk in heels. The shoes, in combination with this beautiful pencil skirt, makes you look so tall! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove that skirt! The texture and color are so nice.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the heels! After a few weeks of practice, they will be much easier to wear and click-click-click:)
SO cute! I looked at the thrift stores for a cute maxi to wear as a skirt, like you. But I couldn't find any.
ReplyDeleteHave you been drinking your water, young lady?! :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
LOL, what kind of walk are you doing in your heels? :)
ReplyDeleteHeels aren't my friend either. How I wish that I could wear a stilleto, but a chunky heel is a must for me, if I plan to make it through most of the day.
This is such a cute, ladylike outfit.
You look so cute! Those nude heels make your legs look killer!
ReplyDeleteI like your high heeled plan! Oh and can we talk about the skirt? I really like it, it's just the right amount of girly.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit AmyK, you rock those pencil skirts. I'm such a fan of that cardigan as well, especially when you showcase it in a million different ways!
ReplyDeleteAwesome outfit!! I laughed out loud reading your heel-walking description!! ha ha!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you feel better! I love eyelet, and that skirt is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and the fact that you aren't afraid to mix black and blue. Those nude pumps are divine.
Glad you're doing much better today! You look stunning! Love the skirt, love the sweater, love the mix together:) Very chic!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better and hope that you have a wonderful weekend. I bought 2 pair of nude pumps this season. I never realized how much I needed them....geesh, I'm so slow sometime. You look fantastic! Those pumps look so good on you!
ReplyDeleteVery, very chic! I love the whole look. It doesn't look like this eyelet skit comes in a 00p. Boooooo! I really want it:(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cardigan, it looks great with the rest of the items! I'm bad at wearing pumps too, I should really work on that. :'D
ReplyDeletei'm glad ur better. you are s funny! i love the way that you explain things in order to give us a full visual. you look cute. i really hope to land and eyelet piece this spring.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I WISH i could go without heels, and STILL look taller, slimmer and perkier. I wish I could forget about them entirely - they're tricky to walk in! But *sigh* heels do so much for my overall appearance.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit on you - very ladylike-chic!
You look lovely in your outfit. I love the navy blue skirt. If there was an a-line version I'd be all over it. I use to wear flats or mid heels exclusively and only bust out the 3+ inchers once or twice a year. Then I found my Stuart Weitzman's ,and I wear them as much as I can when going out, even though I KNOW they're bad for my feet. :P
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is adorable! The heels look cute. I have the reverse problem and need to motivate myself to wear flats more often.
ReplyDeleteI am certain you'll perfect the click-click-click. :) I have faith in you!
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle pattern mixing between the cardigan and the eyelet skirt. You look awesome! I'm sorry you got suck but I'm glad you're back to 100% now!
