swingy

Sorry for the late post! I was running late this morning and didn't get a chance to upload photos to Photobucket before I left. BUT, here they are!

chiffon bubble print ruffle dress, liz lange for target [x]
olive moto jacket, diane von furstenberg
joley flats, j.crew [x-ish]
duchess stone cocktail ring, j.crew [x]

It's pretty funny, Dina of My Superfluities fame wrote a post today about the ill-nature of wearing maternity-cut clothing when you're not, in fact, pregnant. Mainly because doing so can very well make you look like you are pregnant. Well, what say you, readers? Do I look like I'm hiding a baby bump? Because this dress is admittedly from the maternity section, haha! I couldn't resist the pretty colors and pattern and the adorable bow at the bust, even if it is a dress for those with child! I'm notorious for not caring where I shop. I will buy clothes from the little girl's section, boy's section, men's section -- you name it, I'll shop there as long as there's cute clothes to be had!

I'll be drawing for a giveaway winner soon, so keep posted! Thank you all for entering!

  2. This is beautiful! I think you look great in it, and not at all pregnant. And I think I'm going to need to pick this one up, given my new-found, post-surgical bloaty self. ps: omg, I FINALLY found a magnifying glass necklace kinda like yours. See it in my most recent post!

  6. I was at Tar-jay for an inordinately long time today while my friends waffled on what size shoes I should buy for them. I saw this dress and loved the print too! I think you are making it work. So so cute.

  7. I saw that dress and loved it, but was intimidated that it was in the maternity section. You make it look super cute, so I may give it a real try next time at Target!

  9. it definately does NOT look maternity. I bought a LL maternity maxi dress a couple summers ago and LOVE it. Some of the items clearly look maternity when you try them on, but this dress is a prime example of how some don't and how you can make it work. I've actually been eyeing up that dress. It's so pretty and light. Love it with the jacket, too!

  11. Had no idea it was a maternity dress - and doesn't look it to me - so have no fears about looking pregnant. It looks great, and that jacket is fantastic, too!
